About Me

Maija Ehlinger is a seasoned storyteller and journalist with a background covering international affairs, business, economics, and the technology industry. She is the Editor-in-Chief of Hypepotamus and is an Emmy Award-winning journalist and producer with CNN International, where she worked on global stories such as the COVID-19 pandemic, the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Israel-Gaza War, and the Southport stabbing. She holds an undergraduate degree from Emory University and is a graduate of Columbia Journalism School’s Lede Program for Data Journalism, where she honed her skills in data-driven storytelling.
